REGISTRATION: Policy over Politics: Bridging Differences to Make Democracy Work
REGISTRATION: Policy over Politics: Bridging Differences to Make Democracy Work
Our political system only works if it can address the needs of the people it serves. Yet the ever-increasing gap in party politics, or “hyperpartisanship,” is preventing our political process from meeting those needs. The next generation is playing a different game. Around the country, young people are taking action in their communities to break partisan narratives that perpetuate the “doom loop” and put policy over politics. In this 40 minute discussion, panelists will explore the everyday methods that young people are using to put aside political differences to make democracy work.
